I specialize in wildlife and macro-photography and search for my subjects from the Amazon Rain Forests of Ecuador to the fields and woods of my home town of Portland, Connecticut. I find the most satisfaction in showing people the beauty and intricacies of the small and normally overlooked denizens of the outdoors. Insects, reptiles/amphibians and flowers are my favorite subjects. I am primarily self-taught, though I have attended two 10 day macro-photography workshops in Amazonian Ecuador with The Biodiversity Group, a conservation and research organization run by Dr. Paul Hamilton, a PHD herpatologist and photographer. I do all of my own printing, using high quality paper and inks, and cut my own mats.
